France international Mathieu Debuchy has joined Arsenal Football Club on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old right back has just returned from the World Cup in Brazil, where he helped France reach the quarter-finals.
An experienced defender, Debuchy arrives from Newcastle United, where he featured 46 times during an 18-month spell. He spent the first nine years of his senior career with French side Lille, where he made 233 Ligue 1 appearances for his boyhood club and a further 18 in the Uefa Champions League.
Debuchy helped Lille to a league and Coupe de France double in 2010/11 and in the following season his contribution was recognised by being named in the 2011/12 Ligue 1 Team of the Season. His performances also earned him his international debut against Albania in October 2011, and he now has 25 caps for France.
FIFA has lifted the ban it placed on Nigeria on July 9th after a high court sitting in Jos sacked the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari and other board members. FIFA had frowned at the court ruling, stating that the move was a government interference in football activities which is against its policy. FIFA then directed that a new court order reinstating Maigari and other NFF executives be obtained before it can lift the ban.
The new court order reinstating the NFF President and other executives was obtained two days ago, Tuesday July 15th, hence the lifting of the ban today.
Maigari and his board will resume their duties tomorrow and stay there until next month's elections when they could be sacked through the ballot, in line with FIFA's policies

appointment of Massimiliano
Allegri as their new head coach.
The Serie A champions were
looking for a new trainer
following the shock departure of Antonio Conte on Tuesday
and they have now named the former AC Milan coach as their
new boss.
"For me it is an honour to be called as coach of Juventus," he
told reporters at a press conference to reveal his arrival on
Wednesday. "I am content and happy to coach Juventus.
"Today and tomorrow I begin my work. I am at the club's
disposal. I know this is an important role. Juventus have won
the Scudetto for three straight years, I am here to continue
to winning with this team.
"I am lucky because for four years I had the fortune to
coach Milan, and now I have the opportunity to coach another
big team like Juventus. It is an honour and I want to keep
winning.
"We will fight for the Scudetto until the bitter end. In
Europe we have a duty to put in a big showing in the
Champions League."
Allegri had been out of work ever since he was fired by the
San Siro side back in January and he will now be looking to
redeem himself at Juve.
The 46-year-old started his coaching career at Aglianese
and also took charge of Real SPAL, Grosseto, Sassuolo and
Cagliari before taking over at Milan in 2010.
He guided the San Siro outfit to the Serie A title in his first
season, but failed to replicate that feat in the following
seasons - partially due to the departure of stars such as
Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Allegri will be looking to guide Juventus - who confirmed the
deal on their Twitter - to their fourth consecutive Scudetto,
while the club's board of directors will also expect European
success.

of the Champions League last term after making it to the
quarter-finals the season before.

here to stay. He was behind Wizkid’s Love My
Baby, Davido’s Damiduro and Harry
Songz’ Taiye Kehinde. Signed under the HKN
Gang, 2013 saw him churn out two massive
hits; Skelewu and Gobe for the OBO himself,
Davido. He was also the producer of Wande Coal’s
highly controversial Baby Face and Go Low.
Remember Maye Hunta’s Ekaette? Shizzi
produced that too. This year he co-produced
Davido’s Tchelete featuring Mafikizolo currently
getting massive airplay as well as MultiChoice
Africa’s Rise Up featuring Davido, Tiwa- Savage,
Sarkodie, Diamond, Mzytikal and Lola Rae. Shizzi
has worked with Sasha, Harrysong, OD Woods,
Naeto C, Sauce Kid, Wande Coal, Wizkid, D’Prince,
May D, etc.
3. Sarz: His talent is evident in the songs he has
so far produced. Jaiye Jaiye, one of my favorite
jams from last year was produced by none other
than Sarz. Reminisce’s street hop Kako bi
Chicken and Ghetto by Shank and Beat of Life
(samba) ft Wizkid are among his list of works. Not
to forget the chart topping Jor Oh by Jah Bless
which became a street anthem back then. Worthy
to note, he also produced almost all the tracks in
Eldee’s Undeniable album, Goldie’s Don’t
Touch, DaGrin’s Kondo as well as YQ’s I Like
Girls. Even more recently, he produced Tosin
Martins’ TGM, Reminisce’s Fantasi and Eleniyan f
Wizkid.
4. D- Tunes: After producing hits like
Iyanya’s Kukere, Your waist, Flavour, Sexy
Mama, etc as well as Sean Tizzle’s Sho Lee, it is
not surprising he won producer of the year at the
headies awards last year. This producer with a
penchant for making hit tracks is the producer
behind Sean Tizzle’s The Journey album which
has been getting rave reviews so far. He has also
worked with other artistes the like of Yemi Alade,
Efa, Mbryo, Faze, Ruggedman, 9ice, TuFace, Tony
Totch, Reminisce, Dammy Krane, Flossick and so
on.
5. Del B: Incredibly talented, his list of songs
alone is enough to acknowledge his talent.
Responsible for Dbanj’s Why Me, Jebele by
Kween, KCee’s Limpopo, an undeniable jam as
well as Wizkid’s On Top Your Matter, Del B also
produced Oko mi by Waje, Seyi
Shay’s Irawo, Baby Mo by Tiwa Savage,
Kcee’s Give It 2 Me featuring Flavour, General
Pype’s Its Ok and another monster
